Cécile Duflot: "There is a problem with the debt, but it's not a disaster, we need to put things into perspective."

François Bayrou put himself in a trap by saying that France was heading for an accident and that he had no choice. But it's too much and it's no longer working. We're in a world saturated with alerts, sirens, blackmail, and big words. And everyone is tired. And then there's a contradiction: if it's so serious, is the urgent thing to do to put everything on himself and ask for a vote of confidence ?
For a year now, there has been a basic problem: this government has ignored the results of the legislative elections. There is no majority, but above all, those who came out on top were the NFP, which criticized the policies being implemented. So when we ignore this criticism and try to continue as before, we find ourselves up against a wall.
François Bayrou insists that we have no choice. But a famous expression says: politics is about choosing. And it's about taking responsibility for one's choices. For example, there is one choice he doesn't want to make. A debate took place around the Zucman tax , that is, the minimum tax that the ultra-rich in France must pay. It's between 20 and 26 billion euros, it's considerable. But when he says that, I don't want it, the door is closed, because that's what was said, it means he's choosing.

I agree that there is a problem with the debt issue, but it's not a disaster; we need to put things into perspective. Debt is a financial problem that can be resolved through financial decisions. It's not inevitable; it's a choice. And of these 3,000 billion, 1,000 billion are the result of the policy that has been implemented for the past 8 years.
So, sometimes in politics, we could be a little modest and admit that we went about things the wrong way and that we need to correct things. Here, he says, we're doing everything right, we know, it's serious and if you don't trust me, then you're leading France towards disaster. This blackmail can't work.
I even think that this blackmail is harming politics and it is surprising coming from François Bayrou because he is a man who has always defended proportionality, balance, the fact that we can have dialogue.
When you have a Parliament that doesn't have a majority, you have to bring people together. For two elections in a row, the French have declared a lack of majority in the Assembly. I think that perhaps means "talk to each other," and they're right. When you have a serious situation, you have to pull together and work together. The situation is serious regarding the debt, the ecological situation, and the worsening of inequalities.
But there is the human factor and it turns out that sometimes we can be offended and this is perhaps the case with François Bayrou at the moment.
